During this stage, the patient’s response to physical therapy and rehabilitation practices as well as their clinical response to electrical stimulation can be predicted.

Over a period of 6 weeks, the patient will undergo treatment at the Fizywell Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation center in Ankara under the supervision of Prof. Birol Balaban and Assoc. Prof. Ferdi Yavuz. Physiotherapists will administer routine physical therapy and rehabilitation practices every working day of the week. Additionally, electrical spinal cord stimulation will be applied externally through the skin.

At the conclusion of this period, the patient’s progress will be evaluated through neurological examinations, electroneurophysiological tests, and video analysis. These results serve as crucial scientific indicators to guide us toward a final decision.

It’s worth noting that during this phase, it may become evident that some patients do not experience functional benefits from the “Electrical Stimulation Method of the Spinal Cord in Patients with Spinal Cord Paralysis,” thereby preventing unnecessary surgery.
