Radiology

Our team is represented in the field of Radiology by ULTRAMAR, the capital’s leading imaging center, renowned for its close integration of advanced technology over many years.

Radiology is a branch of medicine that uses medical imaging techniques to diagnose diseases. Specialists in this field visualize internal structures within the body using various imaging modalities, such as X-ray, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), and ultrasound. Radiologists diagnose a wide range of diseases by analyzing images of organs, tissues, and bones. Radiological imaging also plays a crucial role in forming treatment plans and surgical strategies. Advances in technology in this field have enabled the production of higher-resolution images, facilitating earlier and more accurate disease diagnosis.

In the context of the procedures applied to our target audience, patients with spinal cord paralysis, radiology contributes significantly. Radiological assessments include necessary examinations such as brain and spinal MRIs, CT scans, and QCT scans. These are performed and reported alongside existing sufficient examinations available through the patient’s e-Pulse system. This approach helps identify conditions that might hinder the process, such as osteoporosis with a degree higher than 4.0, severe syringomyelia, or brain damage. Additionally, radiology plays a critical role in the ultimate solution by determining the precise location of motor nuclei in the spinal cord, which is essential for enabling the patient to take a step.
