Prof. Bülent Dağlar was born in 1970. He completed his primary education at İzmir Cemil Midilli Primary School and his secondary and high school education at İzmir İnönü High School.

He graduated from the English program of Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1994 and began his specialty training in Orthopedics and Traumatology at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine in the same year after passing the medical specialization exam. In August 2000, he started working as an Orthopedics and Traumatology Specialist (Chief Assistant) at Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital. He earned the title of Associate Professor in 2010 after successfully completing the qualifying exam at Hacettepe University.

In 2011, Prof. Dağlar left his position at Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital and joined the Orthopedics and Traumatology Department at Kırıkkale University. During his tenure at Kırıkkale University, he served as the head of the department and was promoted to the title of Professor. He left Kırıkkale University in 2015 and worked as an Orthopedics and Traumatology Specialist at Private Ankara Güven Hospital until 2021. Currently, he practices exclusively at his private clinic, where he provides examination, diagnosis, and treatment in the field of orthopedics and traumatology.

He married Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gül Dağlar in 1995, and they have two children, a daughter and a son.

Throughout his academic career, Prof. Dağlar has authored numerous international and national articles and contributed scientifically to many others. He has delivered oral presentations and lectures at international and national conferences, for which he has received several awards. He has written book chapters, provided scientific input for translated books, and served as the editor of two books. Additionally, he has served on the boards of several associations, including Pediatric Orthopedics, Orthopedic Trauma, and AO Trauma.

Prof. Dağlar held the position of Head of the Orthopedic Trauma Branch within the Turkish Orthopedics and Traumatology Association. As a member of many professional associations, he has also served as a trainer for the international AO Trauma Association, conducting training sessions in various countries. Furthermore, he contributed to the coordination between the Pediatric Orthopedic Association and the Ministry of Health in establishing a national hip dysplasia screening program and provided scientific input for the development of its guidelines. He has strived to serve as a role model and guide for numerous residents and medical students throughout their professional journeys.

His current focus areas include pediatric and adult hip disorders, shoulder and elbow disorders, prevention and treatment of sports injuries in pediatric and adult athletes, personalized treatments for skeletal system disorders following unsuccessful treatments, prevention, delay, and treatment of joint degeneration, and the management of fractures and dislocations across all age groups.
